Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Finance Manager to join our automotive dealership team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all finance and insurance aspects of vehicle sales, ensuring profitability, and maintaining exceptional customer satisfaction. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of finance and insurance regulations.

Essential Duties:

  • Protect gross profit margins by arranging financing to minimize the impact of outside sources.
  • Cultivate strong lender relations to enhance customer dealership ties.
  • Increase revenue through the sale of credit insurance, vehicle service contracts, GAP coverage, and maintenance plans.
  • Maintain control of all paperwork until ready for processing.
  • Manage all paperwork related to vehicle sales, including obtaining customer signatures and securing payoff and insurance information.
  • Convert cash transactions to finance deals to maximize profitability.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with various finance sources, including the manufacturer.
  • Process finance and lease deals accurately and fairly through financial sources to secure approval.
  • Conduct business ethically and professionally, adhering to federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Complete and manage all federal, state, and dealer paperwork related to vehicle transactions.
  • Ensure paperwork accuracy before forwarding to accounting.
  • Acquire and maintain current state insurance license and complete required continuing education.
  • Provide customers with comprehensive explanations of manufacturer and dealership service procedures and policies.
  • Manage alternative finance source programs to ensure availability.
  • Maintain insurance files and seek insurance companies for required paperwork.
  • Implement a turnover program to ensure all deals transition to the F&I department.
  • Keep sales force and managers informed about finance and lease programs.
  • Train sales staff on financing, insurance, and extended service programs.
  • Collaborate with sales managers to achieve reasonable profits on sales.
  • Coordinate finance forecasting with sales department to achieve desired levels of penetration and income.
  • Ensure collection of all finance and insurance fees.
  • Handle all credit applications and prepare reports on finance penetration.
  • Attend managers meetings and provide rate quotations.
  • Develop and monitor guidelines for customer interaction to maximize satisfaction.
  • Supervise and train designated backup to ensure operational efficiency in the manager's absence.
  • Maintain an adequate supply of required contracts and paperwork for car deals.
  • Uphold a professional appearance and work environment.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications: A successful Finance Manager must possess product knowledge, professionalism, and empathy to meet customer expectations. Effective communication is vital for team-building with sales and the General Office.
